NWL Invests In State Of The Art New Print Plant

St. George

North Western Lead Co (Hyde) Ltd has invested in a brand new printing plant to create a new, clean and highly efficient production facility for its entire range of coloured films

The £50,000 project took just five months to complete and has already doubled the company’s production capacity for its range of films, which includes leading brands Decra Glow, Rainbow Film and Spectrum Film.

Stephen Hart, managing director of North Western Lead Co (Hyde) Ltd, said: We’re absolutely delighted to announce this strategic investment into a fantastic new production facility. The move has enabled us to completely overhaul the whole flow of work within the department, which means that we have been able to improve efficiency, minimise downtime and ensure fast, high quality printing for our ever expanding customer base.”

As part of the project, NWL laid new floors throughout the building and coated them to eliminate the dust which commonly rises from concrete floors. The company also incorporated state of the art extraction to ensure a good healthy working environment for staff, whilst creating a clean area for printing. This has minimised the problem of film contamination and improved efficiency.

The new facility produces all of NWL’s coloured films, including its stunning Spectrum Film range, which was launched early last year. The range is designed to appeal to customers who prefer slightly thicker films. With some 140 films in the collection, it is one of the most extensive ranges available today.
