Film Star Role for NWL

The recession appears not to have dampened the market’s enthusiasm for decorative film with North Western Lead Co predicting a 100 per cent increase this year in sales of its extensive range of decorative film products. The company has seen a huge surge in the popularity of its films despite the current economic climate, prompting them to take on three new printers to cope with demand.
The company’s collection of more than 500 film products is especially popular overseas. NWL’s Spectrum Film range is particularly in demand.
At 75 microns thick, the Spectrum films appeal to customers who prefer slightly thicker films. The range already includes 140 plain and effect films, making it one of the most extensive ranges available today. NWL will be adding even more patterned designs to the range to take the collection to nearly 200 films. The films are created using NWL’s highly automated printing process, which not only makes them available on realistic lead times, but also very competitively priced.
To bring even more choice to the market, NWL’s Decra Glow and Rainbow Film ranges are available in a 50 micron thickness. The Decra Glow range comes in a choice of plain, marbled or textured effects, whilst the Rainbow Film range is available in a bright and cheerful selection of plain or patterned designs.
The company has taken on three new staff to help fulfil the orders and develop exciting new designs. They will embark on NWL’s intensive training programme and learn NWL’s highly specialised technique of screenprinting film.
Stephen Hart, NWL’s managing director, says: “With so much doom and gloom within the industry we are absolutely delighted to be bucking the trend by investing in staff and new product development. Decorative film has grown in popularity in this more design led, but cost conscious era and we are very excited to predict that production will double this year. It marks our commitment to anticipate the market and satisfy its demands with high quality products that represent great value for money.”
NWL’s films can be quickly and easily ordered on the company’s specially designed new order form, which automatically calculates the number of sheets required. Free swatches of any of the films are available by visiting www.decraled.co.uk or calling 0161 368 4491.
